  • Should I repair or replace my existing appliance?

This is a very difficult question to answer so here are a couple of things to consider. First, How old is your current appliance and how many more years could it perform for. If you are only thinking about having your appliance repaired or replacing it with an appliance that is similar in cost to the one you purchased several years ago, quality is an important point to consider. Second, unfortunately, appliances (at similar price points) do not have the same quality nor durability that they used to have. Instead you will either need to pay more money up front for high quality appliance that will last 10+ years or, you will pay less up front for a low end appliance and repair it as issues arise.

  • Is repairing an old appliance really a good investment?

When thinking about whether the best choice for you is to repair your appliance or replace it, there are a few things to consider. First, ask yourself how much a new appliance will cost you. For this question you need to consider both the quality of appliance you can afford as a replacement as well as the time it will take you to properly research, shop for the best price and have the appliance delivered and installed (as well as having the old one disposed of). Why not consider the lower cost option of having your existing appliance properly repaired by a knowledgeable, skilled professional. Pro Appliance can diagnose the appliance issue to determine if it's in your best interest to repair or replace it. You can count on Pro Appliance for an honest recommendation. If you do decide to replace your fridge, washer, dryer or oven, Pro Appliance can take away the aggravation associated with the time spent shopping for a new appliance. • Can you diagnose my appliance and give me a quote over the phone?

When you are ready to have your appliance repaired, simply contact us. The customer service representatives at Pro Appliance are always friendly and ready to help you with your appliance service and repair needs. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to accurately diagnose the problem over the phone. During the initial phone call, our customer service representatives will try to gather as much information about the appliance in question and the problem you are having. We will try to anticipate what the repair may consist of and what parts may be needed. We will do our very best to come prepared.

  • Why are there soap suds left over in my washer after washing a load of laundry?

This is a very common problem. The most likely reason that there are residual soap suds is that you may be using more laundry detergent than is required/recommended for your size of load. A simple solution is to check to see what the recommended amount of detergent should be. Also, keep in mind if your washing machine is a high efficiency (HE) model as less detergent is normally required for these machines.

  • Why does my oven smell bad when it is going through the self-cleaning?

Although this smell can be unpleasant, it is not harmful. When your oven is going through the self cleaning cycle the food debris and grease that are inside the oven are being burnt away causing this smell. If it’s possible, it’s a good idea to create extra ventilation for your kitchen by opening a window and/or a door. Also, please remember that the oven temperature becomes extremely hot to facilitate this cleaning so take extra caution (especially with children and pets) around the stove/oven when it’s in self cleaning mode.

  • Approximately how long does an average load of clothes take to dry?

The time it takes for an average load of clothes to dry varies slightly from dryer to dryer but on average, a large load of clothes should take approximately 45 minutes to dry completely. If you notice that your dryer takes significantly longer it can be very frustrating and eat up precious time and money. There may be a problem with your dryer vent system. Our expert technicians at Pro Appliance can easily diagnose and repair the problem for you.
